Week 3 in Utah Pt. 3: Heber Valley Cabin

In past years we've spent a weekend in Bear Lake together. This year we opted for a cabin a little closer to home. Emmy's husband Brock's family has a cabin in Heber Valley, and they graciously allowed to occupy their paradise for a few days. Funny, I never actually took a picture OF the cabin. But I sure took a whole lot inside and around the lovely thing.
There were so many fun things to do at this cabin! Games and a pool table and horse shoes outside and swings and ping pong and a wrap around porch where the kids could run run run.
Running around the porch was Soren's favorite part, for sure.
There were big windows with fabulous views in most of the living spaces. Great for the scenery, not so good for amateur photographers.
Emmy and Brock were just kind, patient, helpful hosts. We love the Damjans.

Nick was here too, just in (Christmas) spirit.
And I love Tina's Famous Peach Cobbler (aka Pioneer Woman's brilliance).
There was a special moment between Soren and rockstar uncle Jonny. Soren was shy, then tentative, then all-out strummerific. This was just a minute or two of the magic.
Thank you uncle Jonny. You are our favorite rockstar.
Right before we left we tried for a grandchildren picture, 2016.
Nick, bless his wonderful heart, helped me make it a little more fancy.
Real life.
And the king of cheekiness.
We loved this cabin! We hope to return in the years to come.

Look at all of those kiddos lined up on the swing. So adorable! This looks like so much fun.
