Friday night with the Gators

Brandon and Zane have been to a couple of UF baseball games, but last night we decided to take the whole family. It was a perfectly warm (read: if we had had to sit in the sun it would have been too HOT), fun-filled evening.

Annie's been working on her dimple-filled "gator chomp" for weeks now, and busted it out on cue numerous times. she's a natural fan:

Zane rocked his hat backwards, and stalked Albert for a picture (all the while Annie was saying, "all done gator. all done gator. all done gator." she might be a fan, but not THAT much of a fan.):

Brandon came through with this shot that included both his family members and the game action. Incredible, that brandon. After I looked at it I thought, "Oh yeah, there's a baseball game going on!" oops.

We knew it was a true family event when we got popcorn and ice, then dumped at least half of it on the ground before the first five minutes were over. Awesome, people. Less calories consumed, I reasoned. The kids didn't seem to mind. They just had a great time.

Annie could have stayed all night, carved contently into her daddy's torso, if it hadn't been for me whispering "I'm ready to go home" in the 6th inning:

Zane was NOT ready to be done, so the girls packed up and walked home. The boys followed about an hour later.

We are lucky ducks.

Great picture of you and Zane. You're such a knock out! (I'm sure there is some clever thing I could say about your gorgeousness and the baseball game but "knock out" is as far as my brain will go right now ;)

You "hit a liner up the middle," "smashed it over the wall in left," "ran out an inside-the-park-home-run," "pitched a no-hitter," "whacked a ground-rule-double," "beat it out" on a "drag-bunt" down the first base line, "stole second," pulled off a "squeeze play," avoided a "pickle," "poked" an "r.b.i" "sacrifice fly," bombed a "four-bagger," or in other words wrote a great post about a fun day.

I think you are 'lucky gators'. Those 'lucky ducks' live in Oregon.
I know, picky, picky, picky. :)
